My story with Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity.
"What stands in my way, shapes my way.”
I am originally Eritrean. I grew up in Saudi Arabia and moved to Canada in my late 30s.
When I moved to Canada, diversity, and inclusion evolved to become my passion and challenge at the same time. Being a woman of color and not having either the Canadian accent or the Canadian experience made acquiring a decent job in corporate Canada somewhat more difficult than expected. This reignited my passion for promoting and serving diversity and inclusion at scale. I decided to expand my life purpose of promoting diversity and inclusion and;
I will continue promoting authenticity, diversity, and inclusion inside corporate Canada while enabling people to be the driving force.
“Diversity is Canada’s strength,” Justin Trudeau.
I believe that together, we can fulfill our national potential to the maximum.
I am a certified executive coach; I hold an executive MBA and a BS in Management Information System.
